Clem, Wilson (P1, C2 L6)

Private First Class Wilson Clem was born 10 June 1890, at Grays Knob in Harlan County, Kentucky. He joined Company B, 1st Battalion, 2nd Kentucky Regiment, Kentucky State Guard on 14 November 1914. He was induced into federal service at Fort Thomas, Kentucky on 15 July 1918. While on active duty he was transferred first to Headquarters Company, 17th Infantry, then to Headquarters Company, 11th Infantry until his death. Clem died of Broncho pneumonia on 8 October 1918. He is buried in the Grays Knob Cemetery, Farmers Mill, Harlan County, Kentucky.
