Private First Class William Cundiff, 25, of Morehead, Rowan County, Kentucky, died of wounds in France on 14 October 1918. At the time of death he was serving with Company D, 155th Infantry Regiment. Cundiff enlisted with Company M, 2nd Kentucky Infantry, on 21 July 1917 and also served with the 149th Infantry. He is buried in the Meuse-Argonne American Cemetery Romagne, France.
