Miller, Jess (P2, C3, L29)

Staff Sergeant Jess Miller was born 18 January 1920, at Artemus, Knox County, Kentucky. He enlisted on 12 January 1941, at Barbourville for the 149th Infantry, Kentucky National Guard. He was inducted into federal service on 17 January 1941. Miller was killed in action on Luzon Island, Philippine Islands on 7 February 1945, and is buried in the Davis Cemetery, Barbourville, Kentucky.
