Current and former Kentucky National Guard members from across the state, army and air, joined friends and family, in spite of rain predictions of hurricane proportions which never materialized, for the 2018 TAG Open on Monday, September 17th at Weissinger Hills Golf Course in Shelbyville.
The winners included some familiar and some new faces.
Morning First Place Team: Joe Brummett, Travis Mason and Chad Jones with a score of 53.
Morning Runner Up Team: Chris Ripy, Jimmy Caudle, BJ Hurst and Gerald Wilson with a score of 56.
Morning longest drive: Men's: Jeff Delrufo

Morning Putting Challenge: Joe Brummett won the Kentucky Broadcasters Association Putting Challenge and took home the 55 inch flat screen television.

Afternoon Runner Up Team: Matt Stone, Mitch Perry, Steve Bullard, Walt Schwartz and Dustin Benoit with a score of 55.

The honor of having their names inscribed on the TAG Open OD "Green Jacket" and bragging rights as the 2018 KYNG Golf Masters goes to the overall first place team of Joe Brummett, Travis Mason and Chad Jones with a score of 53.
Bragging rights remain in the GREEN for the seventh year running -- The TAG Cup winning team for 2018 were Joe Brummett, Travis Mason and Chad Jones with a score of 53 representing the Kentucky Army National Guard.
